AL E. KAT

Style #: 1111

AL E. KAT was first introduced in the 1988 Flyer along with Angel #1001, Peaches #1003,  Ginger #1005, Smokey #1007, and Licorice #1009. This however, unknown to almost anyone was not AL E. Kats first appearance on retail shelves.  AL E. Kat was actually first introduced in mid 1987 and shipped out with the second run 1986 cats.

The exhaustive summary of versions below is far more meticulous than necessary to enjoy collecting plush.  This is the TyPlushArchive! so every detail must be charted.  I went through the trouble of dissecting every detail of the plush tush tag to fill the gaps where I could not find an example with the tag.  For those looking for information for selling purposes, you do not need this level of detail; this is a waste of your time.  List your push with the title stating the tush tag year, pictures of each side of the hang tag, and the tush tag will be appreciated.

AL E. Kat 1A

Tush tag version 1g: small heart, should be paired with the 1A hang tag.
Red and gold bow.  This was AL E. Kats’s first appearance being introduced as a write-in order for the second run of the 1986 Cats.

Tush tag version 1g: thumb period 7 without a hook, Velvet ears, no beans in feet, should be paired with the 1a or 1b hang tag.

~BEANS IN FEET~

When first released, flat-style plush had beans in their belly but not in their feet. This changed with the second wave of 1b, which now had beans in both their belly and feet.

Tush tag version 1g: thumb period 7 with a hook, with beans in feet, old styled acetate bow, should be paired with 1b banner hang tag, third run with large font or possibly 1c TYWL hang tag.

Tush tag version 1g: thumb comma 7 without a hook, with ground nutshell instead of PVC pellets in body and feet, big nose, old styled acetate bow, TYWL hang tag.

Tush tag version 1g: thumb period, tush tag missing “FIBER & P.V.C. PELLETS IN CLOTH BAG”, 7 without a hook, big nose, with beans in feet, old styled acetate bow, paired with 1c TYWL hang tag.  I believe this tush tag was destined for Jake or Mischeif, This would be the correct tush tag for those plush as this AL E. KAT does have PVC Pellets.
