Penelope the pig.

This is a summary of all hang tag and dress changes.

As shown above Penelope was released with a second, third, fourth, and 5th generation hang tag.

Although not important to collectors, for completion I am showing variations in the denim overalls, left medium denim, second two dark denim, and right two extra dark denim. 

Although not important to collectors, for completion, the variation in the eye color showing light vs dark blue. 

CHRONOLOGY

The version of tush tag and hang tag combinations is not of importance to nearly all collectors.  For the purpose of the archive, all combinations I have identified and believe to be in their original issued status are listed below.

Hang Tags

US: 2nd ATC version, 5th

5th: WL.2, FH

UK: 2nd 

Tush Tags

US: 1G Version 6K, tacked 10.1, tacked 10.4, 2G version 4, Burgundy version 1
UK: none located
CA: 1G version 2

KEY

BBC = refers to the 2nd generation hang tag stating “Beanie Babies Collection” erroneously. 

ATC = refers to the 2nd generation hang tag corrected to “The Attic Treasures Collection”.

SP = SAFETY PRECATION (version of 5th gen noted by the fact that earliest versions of 5th generation did not have this stated on the back of those tags)

WL = Waterloo (address noted on early 5th generation hang tags)

WL.1 vs. WL.2 = spacing on the left of the tag changed noted on the attic treasure hang tag page & 5G page.

FH = FH Fareham (address noted on later 5th generation hang tags)

HK = Hong Kong (earliest version of the 1G hang tag stating “printed in Hong Kong”)

US = United States version

UK = United Kingdom version

CA = Canadian version

DE = German (Deutschland) version
