Whiskers
Whiskers was released as part of the 1994 mid year release attic treasures.
Whiskers “all grey” was first issued with a pink bow and pink nose, peach paw pads, 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. This first version of all grey whiskers is set apart by its peach paw pads and more flat face. Whiskers’ tush tag will always be located on the left leg.
Whiskers “all grey” was then issued with a pink bow and pink nose, pink paw pads, 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. This second version of whiskers all grey is set apart by its pink paw pads, ears placed closer to the top of its head with its face oriented so it looks up to you instead of looking forward. See picture above comparing peach vs. pink paw pads.
Whiskers’ second issue with a pink bow, pink nose, white tip tail, white mouth with white left ear, 1992 version 6 tush tag and Korea hang tag. This is often referred to the “different” ears Whiskers.
Whiskers’ third issue, “Whiskers with Woolie Brown tag pink bow”, is issued with a white tip tail, white mouth, white left ear, 1993 version 3 tush tag and Hong Kong hang tag. This Whiskers is exceedingly rare because it was miss tagged with a Woolie Brown hang tag. Interestingly other attics with similar tush tags were all issued with Korea tags. It appears a batch of leftover stock of Woolie Brown hang tags were used. All Whiskers pink bow with Woolie Brown tags have clear tag attachers. Row 2 Canadian tush tag.
Whiskers’ fourth issue “Whiskers with Woolie Brown tag burgundy bow” is issued with a white tip tail, white mouth, white left ear, 1993 version 4 tush tag and Hong Kong hang tag. This version is also very rare. Row 2 additional example, row 3 UK sticker.
Whiskers’ fifth issue “Whiskers different ears burgundy bow” is issued with a white tip tail, white mouth, white left ear, 1993 version 4 tush tag and Korea hang tag.
