Style #: 6006

Super Gilbert Gold

Super Gilbert is one of the original 12 attic treasures. The first runs of Gilbert have a burgundy bow with a much more stout appearance with thick short arms and legs.

Super Gilbert was first issued with a burgundy bow 1A “woolie” tush tag on its bum and Hong Kong hang tag.   This is confirmed with a production prototype example with identical tags.

Super Gilbert’s second issue is found with a 1A “woolie” tush tag on its leg and Hong Kong hang tag. This batch typically has a more symmetric face.  Also see example signed by Ann Nichals
