Dexter the bear is one of the original 12 attic treasures.

Dexter was first issued with a burgundy bow, 1A “Large” tush tag and HK hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides.

Dexter’s second issue is found with a 1A “wide woolie” tush tag and Hong Kong hang tag. The bow is cut vertical on one side and flat on the other.  This run has a less full nap that is more tapered, the bear is usually more symmetric and slender.  The seam on the stomach is also more obvious.

Dexter’s third issue is found with a 1A “woolie” tush tag and Hong Kong hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides.  The plush is returned to its more full plush nap.

Dexter’s fourth issue is found with a 1B tush tag and Hong Kong hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides with pink paw pads.  This example has a UK sticker.

Dexter’s fifth issue is found with a 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides with pink paw pads. This example has a UK sticker.

Dexter’s sixth issue is found with a 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides with tan paw pads.  

Dexter’s seventh issue is found with a 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides with tan paw pads.

Dexter’s eighth issue is found with a 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag. The bow is cut flat on both sides with pink paw pads.   The plush is a slightly lighter color. The second example was obtained in Canada and was issued with sweater and bow.

Dexter’s ninth issue is found with a version 6 tush tag and Korea hang tag. The stitched bow is cut flat on both sides with tan paw pads. The plush is a slightly lighter color.

Dexter’s tenth issue is found with a version 6 tush tag and Korea hang tag. The stitched bow is cut flat on both sides with beige paw pads. The plush is a slightly lighter color.

Dexter’s 11th issue is found with a version 4 tush tag and Korea hang tag. The stitched bow is cut flat on both sides with pink paw pads. The plush is a slightly lighter color.

KEY

BBC = refers to the 2nd generation hang tag stating “Beanie Babies Collection” erroneously. 

ATC = refers to the 2nd generation hang tag corrected to “The Attic Treasures Collection”.

SP = SAFETY PRECATION (version of 5th gen noted by the fact that earliest versions of 5th generation did not have this stated on the back of those tags)

WL = Waterloo (address noted on early 5th generation hang tags)

WL.1 vs. WL.2 = spacing on the left of the tag changed noted on the attic treasure hang tag page & 5G page.

FH = FH Fareham (address noted on later 5th generation hang tags)

HK = Hong Kong (earliest version of the 1G hang tag stating “printed in Hong Kong”)

US = United States version

UK = United Kingdom version

CA = Canadian version

DE = German (Deutschland) version
