Squeaky

Style #: 6017

Squeaky the mouse was released as part of the 1994 mid year release attic treasures.

Original Prototypes from Ruth Fraser and Nola Hart.

The final prototype bears a version 3 tush tag, and stitched burgundy bow, it does appear to be unique from the final production piece as the muzzle is not shaved and the tail ends with an open seam. It is compared to an example with the same tush tag that did not come with bow.

CHRONOLOGY

This example came from the collection of Mary Sanders a Ty rep, she had some production prototypes, and this example does not have a tush tag typical of production prototypes, I can not find any evidence of a tush tag. The tail is also tied in a knot.

Squeaky was first issued with a burgundy bow, black whiskers, 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag.  Also in Canadian tush tag.

Squeaky was then issued with a burgundy bow, clear whiskers, 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag.  Row 2 with shorter stature matching the stature of the following version issued with version 4 tush tag.

Squeaky was then issued with a stitched burgundy bow, clear whiskers, version 4 tush tag and Korea hang tag.  Example with UK sticker.  This matches the final production prototype at the top.

Squeaky was also issued without a burgundy bow and clear whiskers, version 4 tush tag and Korea hang tag.  Many times it is hard to say if an attic without a bow has any significance since the bow can easily be removed. However, the bow on this run of tush tag was stitched thus making it difficult for the bow to become lost so easily. I have seen many examples of this now so I will account for this version here.

Squeaky with black whiskers and UK sticker hang tag does exist.  Please send me an email if you have an example that I can use to update the website HERE.

Squeaky was then issued with a white whiskers, ears, paws, and tail with a 1B tush tag and Korea hang tag.
